Arizona was our next stop.
Our old camping and fishing buddies, Jeff and Karen Acton,
live in Kingman. Here's a shot of their family:
Near Kingman, is Lake Havasu City.
We stopped to see Ray's stepmom, Elsie,
at her friend Mel Biddle's home.
In California, we spent a few days with Elna's family.
Our first stop was at her mom's house.

We drove back to Sequim and
in May,
we flew to Alaska for a wedding
and vacation.
If you're not asleep yet, maybe
you want to see some photos?
Yep!
Nope!
Justin finished his summer classes
at Washington State University
in Pullman in August. We picked
him up in our camper
and headed south again for some
favorite camping spots.
We
drove to Hat Point, overlooking Hell's Canyon.
One of our favorite hideaways in
eastern California
is at Birch Creek in the Owens
Valley.
Here's Justin showing the proper
and safe way
to handle a firearm:
We found ourselves in Los Angeles
again because
Elna's brother Ray came to visit
all the way from Germany:
Ray,
Anita, Bovist, and Malvina Meyer
Our good friend, Mike Wong, took
us to the Magic Castle in Hollywood.

We met the Kolthoff's in Bakersfield and drove
to Kings Canyon National Park.

Here we are climbing "the rock" at Roaring River Falls.
One of our favorite hikes in Kings Canyon is the trail
to Mist Falls.
It was hot that day, and the top of Mist Falls
was sure refreshing!
Justin took a drink from the pool of water.

It was a fun trip!
